Emotion and Ethnocentrism by Artisan Collective
31st August 2013 to 30th August 2013Online art group ‘Artisan Collective’ reveal an independent artist project, supported by Muse at 269. Exploring themes in human expression and social construction, this creative group shall produce and showcase artwork loosely based around the culture of Ladbroke Grove. The ethos of the group is talent; expression and creativity which has collectively helped construct the project.
Each artist focuses on technique and the profiles in metropolitan London displaying scenes of everyday life. Artisan collective ties in use of visual arts media with sound and free sketching.
*Contains references to ecological, emotional concern with an effective twist created to transform the ideas of ‘normal’ and present redeemed values.
‘Through the perspective of our ethnocentric looking glasses, is it possible to translate positive values by highlighting genuine emotion set against common situations? How best can we counteract the fear of difference in a social convention?
