Richard Taylor
His work comes from his personal response to a
particular place, a place where he feels there is an
atmospheric quality in which he can exploit through the
handling of paint. He uses the fluidity of the paint to
push and pull depth, manipulating the medium to create
an evocative suggestion.
He hopes to achieve an aesthetic expression that sits
true to the place he has studied. Most recently he
hasbeen influenced by The Blue Mosque in Istanbul, where
the interior environment of this Holy place allowed him
to exploit its beautiful qualities. |
